3 First Steps to start a new home build in 2025

Building a new home in 2025, is well, a little tricky!

πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Budgets are being blown because no one can be honest about the true costs of building in 2025

πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Designs aren't aligning with realistic budgets

πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ And the path to start building is getting more and more confusing

In all this chaos, the noise around how to build a home without blowing the budget on day one gets harder to cut through.

If you asked me, Annelyse, if you had to start a new build right now, what would you do? πŸ‘·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Heres my answer:

  1. I’d set a budget for the total build and break it down into separate buckets for each cost I know I’ll hit along the way (because my total budget is not the same as my build budget!)

  2. I’d map out the path from start to finish to simplify the steps (to help curb my easy to trigger overwhelm)

  3. I’d set some milestone completion goals for each stage of the build process so I have achievable goals to work towards everyday

Did my answers surprise you?

How to make Building a New Home Less Complicated

My favorite thing to do is take the stress out of building a new home.

My services specialise in making the complicated simple by teaching first time home builders about what’s in their building contract before they sign.

Building Contract reviews for New Home Builds & Renovations

If you're looking for a personalised review of your Building Contract at a reasonable price, you can find out more information about my Building Contract Health Checks here.

I support clients with their HIA and Master Builders Home Building contracts from all states in Australia, including Victoria, ACT, Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, WA, and the Northern Territory.

Building Contract reviews are for people who want to understand their contract better before they sign.

If you're a person like me who wants to dive into the details, wants education on what makes a good contract, and what to look out for - then you're a great match for a Building Contract Review with me.

Ultimately, I want you to walk away from our session with confidence to proceed with signing your contract.

We go through any of your questions like how to avoid delays, what to watch out for and how to keep costs within your original building quote.

Thanks for reading and catch you on my next post :)
